The Day the Music Died

Yes it was on February 3rd, 1959 that Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper were killed in a plane crash. The pilot Roger Peterson passed away as well. And being from Iowa, it happened in my own state. I’ve driven past the site before. So, today might be a good day to rock out to American Pie by Don McLean or watch The Buddy Holly Story or La Bamba.

I went to the crash site a couple years ago. Sad but cool to see.
